We provide some of the best Guest House Accommodation in Paignton, in the comfort of this beautiful 'Victorian Gentlemans Residence', which combines modern decoration and appliances with its original charm and grandness.

Ideally situated on Paignton Sea Front, offering clean and well planned rooms. We have a fully licenced, well stocked bar and Sea View Guest Lounge with spectacular views across Paignton Green to Torquay, Thatchers Rock, Berry Head and Brixham.

We purchase The Commodore in July 2007 and have an ongoing comittment to renovate the building and upgrade the accommodation. In order to give our guests the best value for money so that you will want to return again and again.

So far we have replaced the flat roof over the bar, the large skylight above the main staircase, replaced all the single beds and two double beds, had the front of the hotel re-rendered, new signage, decorated the bar, dining room and sea view lounge bar, installed new convector heaters to give guests more control over their room's temperature, replaced the front and rear doors, newpvc double glazing, decorated rooms 7, 10, 11, 12 & 15 and will be starting on room 8 in the next week or so.

Prior to purchasing The Commodore, Stuart, Sue and Wally owned The Downs Hotel in Babbacombe, sadly Wally passed away in August 2006. We have been in the hotel business since June 2004, so have 5 years and 6 summer seasons experience behind us.

We have two memebers of staff, Ashley and Anne (photoe's have not yet been released by the sensors) who both help with the cleaning and general running of The Commodore Guest House Accommodation in Paignton.
